| The NHER invented the energy rating of homes and is the UK's first and largest quality assured energy rating scheme. Established in 1990 and now with over 1,600 current members, our objective is to provide excellent technical and business support for individuals and organizations. The NHER team co-developed the RDSAP energy rating methodology and the energy performance certificate for the UK Government. SAVA is an associate member of AHIPP. In October 2006 SAVA was confirmed as the first Home Inspector Certification Scheme. NES also operates the SAVA Business Exchange which provides access to a panel of high quality Home Inspectors and Domestic Energy Assessors for HIP providers, estate agents and the public. The NHER's sister organisation, SAVA, is the largest independent assessment centre for Home Inspectors and has over 1,400 candidates.
